Intersex Peer Support Australia (IPSA)
Intersex | State-Wide

Intersex Peer Support Australia, Aotearoa (NZ) is a dedicated peer support, information, and advocacy group for individuals born with variations in sex characteristics and their families. Led by those with lived experience, IPSA is committed to combating isolation, shame, and stigma through community connection and peer support.
Our mission is to enhance the wellbeing of the intersex community by offering peer support to individuals with innate variations in sex characteristics, as well as their families and partners. We prioritize listening to individual needs and sharing experiences related to healthcare, emotional wellbeing, relationships, fertility, parenting, and identity. IPSA provides a safe space for individuals to connect, share their stories without fear of judgment, and find the emotional support they need offering in person or online meets and a retreat yearly. We aim to challenge the stigma and misconceptions surrounding intersex variations by raising awareness and promoting education of issues affecting the broader intersex community.
IPSA is a not for profit organisation and a registered health promotion charity.
