Who are we:
Queer Sphere provides opportunities for young people who are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (GLBTIQ) their friends, family and supporters to engage in a positive and safe space to be themselves, connect with their peers and be supported by youth workers.
Young people have a couple of different ways to get involved. Those 14 – 18 years have the opportunity to participate in a range of activates including: personal development, games nights, guest speakers, arts & expression and movie nights and just generally socialising and being themselves.
While 18 – 25 year olds have the opportunity to become mentors to the younger group. Mentors will be provided with training and support from youth workers on topics such as; leadership, communication, planning & running activities and maintaining boundaries.
All sessions are run from local venues accessible by public transport and are supported by youth workers and volunteers.
Who is the group for:
LGBTI young people and their allies aged between 14 and 18, and 18 and 25.
